After years of dreaming, months of writing, months of editing, and months of sending our query letters “the call” finally came. Note: in 2015 the call has become “the email” but that sounds so  much less dramatic that it’s not nearly as satisfying to proclaim!

I was so excited when I got the call and signed my contract, I waited eagerly for what came next. Imagine my distress when what comes next is more waiting.

As I write this my baby, Hiding in Plain Sight, is in the hands of an editor whose name I do not yet know. My cover is being created by an amazing cover artist based on the descriptions I submitted to them.

I am working diligently on the sequel which features secondary characters from Hiding in Plain Sight, but I keep getting distracted by refreshing my email on average of ten thousand times per day.  I know the edits will come, and once they do things will go fast and furious. I can’t wait for that day, I can’t wait until I can celebrate the release of my book.

Even saying “the release of my book” is exciting to say!

In the meantime, thanks for sticking with me and joining in my anticipation. I promise you’ll hear it from me as soon as I know when it’s coming.

In the meantime you can check out my profile on the publisher’s website–at least that’s something to read, right?
