For almost twenty years I’ve truly felt like there were no clothes that fit my body in a way that could accomplish the two things I most wanted my clothing to accomplish. Those two things are: Be flattering to my body, and make me feel comfortable while wearing them. After I gained weight I went from having a difficult time finding clothes that fit my tall frame, to finding it nearly impossible to find clothes that fit my frame that also let me feel comfortable and flattered. I went through various phases with my style, but they all held one

It’s human nature to pause this time of year and reflect on how the past year treated you and look forward to what the New Year will bring you. For me and my family, 2017 was an amazing year, but also a year full of changes which for me (us) is stressful. The Recap In 2017 our oldest graduated high school and started her first year of college. Like most stages of parenting that we’ve journeyed through with our oldest, we had no idea what we were in for! College applications, scholarship applications, acceptance letters, student loans and other financial stuff

I am probably a little more attached to my laptop and its ability to save my creative endeavors on its hard drive than someone who is not a writer, but maybe I’m assuming things shouldn’t there? At any rate, not only have I complete all 3 of my published books on this baby, but I’ve also written a million (slight exaggeration) blog posts and parenting essays on it, and it’s my work laptop. It’s as good at multitasking as I am. I work from home for my day job, which means my ability to be online and in front of

I was honored to have this article featured in the June issue of InD’Tale Magazine. Here’s a snippet, if you enjoy click the link below and read the full article. When an author first sets out to write a book, very few think about what will happen after they’ve completed the story. Creating the story is what authors live for. However, for most of us, the real work begins upon completion. For most independent authors, once they finish that first manuscript, they must research what to do next: how does this process work, and what are the rules to follow

Today is release day for the Barefoot Bay Kindle World series and I am thrilled to bring you Dangerously Sweet as a part of this launch.   From the back cover: Blake “Dex” Dexter has been undercover so long, and so deep, that even he can’t separate the real Dex from his cover story anymore. A week in Barefoot Bay would sound like paradise to anyone else, but to Dex, it sounds like way too much time to spend alone with his own thoughts until he meets Amelia Barton, then he thinks it might not be enough time.   Prologue   May 2005 A full moon lit up the sidewalk better than any street light ever could, casting shadows through the tree branches and making everything just a bit mysterious. The air was warm enough to not need a jacket, but the oppressive heat of summer wasn’t yet sending everyone hurrying to the comfort of air conditioning. The entire evening had the hint of magic to it, warm summer temperatures, impending freedom from school, and a sky combined to make a night of amazing memories. It had been a night of trying new things for Kierra Centrand. The
